Many years ago, I purchased a electric indoor grill at a now defunct Venture store. The item I had, along with other items, were lost in moving years ago.
Being single, now living on a low set income, [just above poverty level low], and having recent health issues that changed my diet, I have found a real need for this item.
It had a White Ceramic rectangle base, measuring about 10" long by 6" wide by 4" deep. It had a small square opening at one end so that you could slip the electrical plug/cord and heating element into the unit, and then place the wire grill on top.
It was a very basic electric unit, and I think I paid about $12 for it, [in now-a-day money, $20]. It worked great for doing one piece of meat and would let fat drip into the base bottom, and was very easy to clean up in soap and water.
Such a simple device, but one who gave great cooking results. I believe it was called a table top grill. It was great for grilling quickly pork chops, chicken, and burgers were awesome. Though the burgers will be turkey meat now! lol
Please help with finding this exact item. I have seen the modern reincarnation of this item, but what I saw, they can keep. Plastic and aluminum, no thanks. Besides, the cost of the new types are out of my budget restraints.
Why is that they always have to "improve" on such a simple but effective concept item.
Just three pieces to it, base, heating element, and wire rack, and just ceramic and steel in construction, simply simple.
Thank you to anyone who spends time in searching, and answering!
Good Luck!
Happy Holidays to all!.
