This is a great grill for apt living but I am confused as to the use of the Monitor Probe. Do you have to use it? When we tried cooking w/o it - beeped like crazy. Don’t really want to insert this probe into our food.
Can we unhook it? Would not heat up without it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just want to eat!
We have one also. I must say it takes a bit of time to heat it up but once you get things on track it’s great. The Probe thing is a mystery to me also. Like, is this a ground or what? I can watch my food while the cooking is going on.
It IS GooD though for us apt/condo dwellers!
If anyone knows anything else please let me know too

i already have the george foreman grill,but i just looked into this sanyo one and it looks good,Will the taste be same in both things.And is it just the difference in design?
The George Forman grill seems to make the meat a lot softer and juicier. But the other one has a longer warranty.

I am planning to buy a BBQ grill this summer. We are two at home and sometimes expect a few more couples. We dont want a very big or expensive grill. Charcoal is a strict no-no and Natural Gas Grill is not an option in the rented apartment. So its come down to Propane and Electric.
Gotta be propane.
I have a basic, entry-level propane Weber, and it has "Flav-R-Bars" (how hokey does that sound?!) but they really do add flavor. They are like an upside-down V, and meat juices and fat fall on them and make smoke, which flavors the meat.
I’m thinking about dinner and really fancy some skewer type Kebab (Kabobs in US?).
Possibly courgette, onion, mushroom and cherry tomato.
Can I cook these on my GF Grill? I have the one with the floating top so it will sit straight. If not, how could I cook them, I don’t have a barbeque, just my electric oven and gas hob.
Oh, and what oil should I use?

I use PAM cooking spray for my George Foreman.
